10 John Cena Matches We Still Need To See

There are plenty of big matches left for Big Match John.

John Cena's first match in a WWE (then-WWF) ring came way back on October 10th in the year 2000, in a losing effort against never-to-be-legendary Mikey Richardson. From that dark match to signing a contract in 2001 to the present day, Cena has risen from a greener than grass, generic tights and boots-wearing rookie to the biggest star of the modern era.

Along that road Cena has faced pretty much everyone worth facing in modern World Wrestling Entertainment. The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Orlando Jordan and more have stood opposite the Doctor of Thuganomics inside the squared circle and gone one-on-one with The Face That Runs The Place.

Professional wrestling is a never-ending rabbit hole however, and there are still a whole host of bouts that are yet to be ticked off of the 'John Cena Match Bucket List' list. WWE's change of heart when it comes to signing successful talent outside the company has made a whole host of these a real possibility, but some dream matches still stand tantalisingly on the horizon.

With all that in mind, here are 10 John Cena matches that we (or at least I) still need to see.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
