Defiantly standing in the ring as a mountain of garbage rained down upon them, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall had formed the New World Order of professional wrestling, brother. As soon as the faction joined forces at WCW's Bash At The Beach 1996 pay-per-view, perception of the promotion began to change.

The wheels had already been set in motion by the unthinkable decision to go head-to-head with Vince McMahon and Monday Night Raw. Starting in September of 1995, Monday Nitro offered wrestling fans an alternative to the tried-and-tested formula thrown out by the WWF each week.

The formation of the nWo and introduction of Nitro were both magical moments, but they were far from alone when it comes to great moments in WCW history.

Yet, there are moments in the organisation's folklore that don't quite get the acclaim they deserve. So often the same old negativity is thrown out there when people discuss World Championship Wrestling, and that serves to gloss over the many thrills provided by the much-maligned company throughout the 1990's...
