10. Alberto Del Rio
Alberto El Patron may have been
an MVP of the independent and international scene, but he quickly fizzled out upon his return to WWE. His actual debut, which came when he won the United States Championship from John Cena at Hell in a Cell, was well-received, but even from the get-go, there were signs that his pairing with Zeb Colter wasn't going to work. The following night of Raw, the pair debuted their "MexAmerican" alliance, and within a couple of weeks, the gimmick had ensured that fans no longer cared about Alberto. Making matters worse was the fact that, with Colter cutting promos for Del Rio, his speaking role was reduced to a couple of sentences - usually cliches about fans and wrestlers who aren't part of their alliance. His in-ring work was never particularly compelling in WWE, and that trend has continued. Del Rio recently ditched Colter, but as part of the new League of Nations stable, odds are he still won't get much of a chance to show his personality.
