10 Most Hated WWE Superstars Right Now

The company might be light on great heels, but you can still taste the hate for some.

Legendary Beatle and singer/songwriter George Harrison once said "As long as you hate, there will be people to hate." Of course, the quiet Beatle was likely not talking about professional wrestling when he spoke those words but when it comes to WWE, the quote is more than apt. In today's WWE, "hate" is a relative term, and indeed, there are two kinds, which may or may not be exclusive of each other. First, fans are expected to boo the heels of course - that comes with the territory - as every great story needs a compelling villain and pro wrestling is no different. It's the heel/face dynamic that lies at the very core of any pro wrestling presentation and it works every time because fans fundamentally need someone to hate more than they need someone to love. The potential for justice being served to the most heinous antagonists is what keeps fans coming back for more. Then there's the other kind - the authentic kind that usually has very little to do with storylines or heel turns. This is all about true hatred and outrage; about despising someone so much you cherish the possibility of seeing something bad happen to them. It's this sort of anger that keeps fans coming back as well, in a perverse way, because there's nothing hate loves more than an audience. For some fans, especially online, hate drives them. Without it, they would be lost. So this particular list encompasses both sides of the coin. Some of the Superstars that made the cut are here because of their characters, while others are here because fans demand they be. In both cases, there is true animosity from much of the WWE faithful. The Fab Four almost had it right: it turns out that hate is all you need.
