10 Most Unlikely WWE Trends

1. The New Day And Booty

Originally, The New Day were supposed to be little more than energetic babyfaces.

Knowing the idea would tank, Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods begged with Vince McMahon to turn them into grating heels, something which eventually happened. Unbelievably, New Day proved so entertaining that fans have pretty much turned them babyface again.

Along the way, the trio have used things like 'unicorn horns', gyrating and a fictional cereal called 'Booty-O's' to gain attention. Somehow, they have remained babyfaces despite this, and the idea of 'Booty' has even managed to catch on with the core WWE audience.

During their promos, the group constantly refer to opponents as 'Booty' (such as calling the League Of Nations the 'League Of Booty') and even shake their behinds at the fans.

For those flicking through channels, this must be a bizarre visual, although surely one that is eye-catching.

The New Day have been able to prove that repetition, along with a healthy amount of energy into each performance, can get even the most ludicrous idea over.
