That won't be the case with Braun Strowman.

Braun's Steel Cage win over Big Show on the 4 September 2017 Raw was a classic example of using one star name to enhance another. It was also fitting for Show that such a landmark moment happened in the Cage, because crashing a similar stipulation bout between Steve Austin and Vince McMahon in 1999 was how he made his WWE debut.

Around 18 years later, he was definitely crushed by Strowman and then put through the steel wall post-match. The message was clear: Braun is the new giant in town, and he's a monster Show is too old and washed up to beat. Keep that in mind if WWE try to paint Show as SmackDown's resident nightmare now he's with The Bar.

Show did everything in his power to help elevate Braun before his Universal Title shot against Brock Lesnar at No Mercy. It worked, and even though Strowman lost to Brock (like he just did again at Crown Jewel) he still maintains the position of top giant all on his own. Nobody can touch him there, including Show.
