WWE is sure hoping that you like pay-per-views, because there’s about to be more of them than ever! The upcoming brand split is likely leading to Raw and SmackDown each receiving their own special events, just like they did years ago.

At a time when we’re drowning in wrestling content, how can the company possibly make these new shows feel special? Luckily, Vince McMahon basically owns all of wrestling history, and can bring back virtually any former pay-per-view or concept he wants.

The company has been developing some of their own pay-per-view ideas over the past few years (Fatal-4 Way, TLC, Hell in a Cell) to various levels of success, but they could use past shows with an already proven history of success, and a built in fan base to reuse once more. They can also take ideas from shows that may not have been overly successful, but contained an interesting idea worth exploring, and should be given another shot.

Clash of Champions has been listed to make its grand return, which is encouraging news, but there are still many other brilliant pay-per-views which also deserve another go.

From former WCW classics, to some concepts that just need a little tweaking, here are 10 pay-per-views WWE must return for the brand split.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
