10 Reasons CM Punk Left WWE At The Worst Time

Punk couldn't have left WWE in the lurch at a worse time.

CM Punk is one of the most popular Superstars in WWE history. From his mic work to his ring work to everything in between, Punk was one of the top performers that ever worked for Vince McMahon and all he touched turned to gold. The Best in the World was just that and a lot more. His departure in January of 2014 was one of the most shocking moments in recent WWE history. The unpredictable Punk lived up to that reputation once again when he decided to take the proverbial ball and go home. He left behind a company that had made him a star and more importantly, he left a legion of fans that had supported him through it all. The way he left did leave a bad taste in the mouths of many of those fans and for any that already hated him, they had even more reason to. Punk has been notorious for always doing what he wants to do and suddenly leaving WWE was the crown jewel in his rebel crown. However, the company just has not been the same since he left. Their main event roster is very thin and while both Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are getting the spotlight, Punk is missed on every level. The truth is WWE is still trying to fill the void that he shockingly left behind. The fact is that while Punk is a free spirit, his timing could not have been worse. There is a plethora of reasons why this is the case and there are 10 that especially stand out above the rest.
