10 Reasons CM Punk Left WWE At The Worst Time

10. He Could Not Get The Proper Sendoff

The Nature Boy Ric Flair did it all in his pro wrestling career. He worked in main event matches all over the world, he became a pop culture icon recognized around the globe and he was a 16-time World heavyweight champion. He represented everything that the industry stood for and he had arguably the best career of any pro wrestler in history. However, his career saw perhaps its biggest highlight back in 2008. That was the year he was inducted into the Hall of Fame and worked his last WWE match at WrestleMania 24 the next night. The legendary Nature Boy went out with his head up, just the way he should have. All of this was capped off by the most epic sendoff of all time on the Monday Night Raw after Mania. This is what Punk should have had. By just walking out on the company, he put his legacy under some heavy scrutiny as now there is no guarantee he will even get into the Hall. Punk may not have had the list of accomplishments that Ric had but he deserved his day in the sun. If a notice had been given, WWE could have perhaps worked something up for him and allowed him to possibly go out on his own terms. That could have included an epic last run, eventually ending with the induction. Punk could have stayed the course and went out his way, with all the spotlight and respect that he had earned.
