One of the most eye-opening aspects of the entire podcast comes when Bruce Prichard recalls something Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero told him. Each man wanted to come over to the WWF, but that trio had something else motivating them. Namely, they wanted to ensure Chris Benoit was treated fairly.

Perhaps realising that Benoit was in a tough spot due to the fact that Kevin Sullivan was the booker of WCW, his friends told Prichard that they wished to look out for him. Sullivan had made the Canadian WCW's World Champ, but there was history between both men due to Benoit entering a relationship with Sullivan's ex-wife Nancy.

Saturn, Malenko and Guerrero repeatedly stated during WWF negotiations that they wanted the company to sign Benoit. Even if there wasn't any interest in the other three, it was important to them that Prichard fight hard to get their buddy involved.

Of course, the quartet wanted to come into the WWF as a group, but it's fascinating to learn that Guerrero, Malenko and Saturn were willing to sacrifice their spots if it meant Benoit was hired.
