10 Things We Learned From Bruce Prichard's The Radicalz Podcast

8. Shane Douglas Was Not Included In The Idea

Right before The Radicalz would even take on that name as a foursome, they were aligned with someone else over in WCW. Known as The Revolution, the group actually excluded Eddie Guerrero. Instead, the Latino star was replaced with Shane Douglas, who teamed with Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn on WCW television.

China rip-off Asya was also involved briefly, but Douglas had something else in common with his former associates. Bluntly, The Franchise wanted out of his WCW deal too. Still, it wasn't until after The Radicalz had been hired by the WWF that Douglas caught wind of what was happening.

Once word got out, Shane called the hotel where his friends were meeting WWF officials. Prichard claims during the podcast that it was Jim Ross who was dealing with Douglas, but that there was little interest in bringing him into the company at that point.

Even more interesting is the fact that Prichard says each other member made it clear that they were only looking out for one another. This means that Benoit, Guerrero, Saturn and Malenko weren't concerned with Douglas or getting him hired.
