10 Things WWE Did Wrong In 2014

Where did it all go so wrong for Cesaro this year?

There are always high and low spots in the WWE calendar. There are times after Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series where it seems like creative has taken a few months off. Granted, it is hard to come up with all the programming that they do week in and week out, they are getting paid to entertain us, and sometimes their decisions are either wrong or not entertaining at all. This year was no exception with some low points in the creativity of the brand. Not only were there low points, but also some completely weird choices for what they perceive as "Sports Entertainment". Maybe they're trying hard to reach all demographics, but in the end, this is still pro wrestling. The matches and the stories still matter most when it comes to having a good product for the WWE. Trying to hit a demographic with a completely idiotic idea (see #5 later) can hurt more than it can help. While the launch of the WWE Network was a little shaky, the ship was righted fairly quickly, and there is a great deal of content and a good value for it. Credit to Vince McMahon for a view into the future as the amount of people dropping cable and going to subscription steaming avenues is growing ever so rapidly. The only bad thing about it now is the fact that it is not in the UK yet. They are such a loyal and passionate fanbase, and they need to have the Network there. Let's go ahead and take a look at the things the WWE did wrong in 2014, and let's hope they don't repeat history in 2015.
