10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About John Cena

John Cena has been the biggest name in World Wrestling Entertainment for the past decade. Whether you like him or not, it's the truth. He's been the flagbearer of the company that has won 14 major World Championships, main evented five WrestleManias (including the last three) and is by far the biggest merchandise seller in the company. Over the years, Cena has gone from green rookie that was one called "The Prototype" to a guy that was able to break through because of his rapper gimmick. It was something that came about when Cena was rapping on an international tour, it was picked up by people in the company and it became his on screen persona. He even released a rap album that did pretty well, all things considered. Cena evolved as a character and a wrestler to where he is now as a man that will turn 37 years old this April. His promos on TV these days are about how there are a lot of young guys in WWE trying to get to the top, but if they want it they have to go through him. He's no longer that young guy with the Boston accent and the chip on his shoulder. He's a bonafide WWE legend that is loved by some, hated by some and respected by most. His 12 year WWE career has had many highs and definitely some lows. Here's a look at WWE doesn't like reminding you about as they talk about Cena's legacy. Some of these things they might bring up on occasion, but for the most part they want to keep them buried in the past. If you want an 11th thing to forget, just remember that when WWE billed Cena/Rock at WrestleMania 28 "once in a lifetime" they knew they were doing it the next year. It was just a lie. They lied to you, WWE Universe. What a bunch of heels they are, huh? To his credit, there are not a lot of dark secrets in Cena's life. He's a great guy by all accounts, but there are still things that WWE wants you, the wrestling fan, to forget about him.
