10 Things You Learn Training To Be A Pro Wrestler

10. You Are Not Likely To Make It

I will be the first to admit that I have not made anything of myself in pro wrestling. In BYW I was known as one of the top guys at one point but in the pro circuit, nothing! I had quite a bit of talent maybe but nothing which set me aside from other guys. Truth be told I haven't wrestled a match for over 4 years. This is not an uncommon story. You have to genuinely have something to get anywhere and make any sort of money In wrestling. Failing that being in the right place at the right time. Hell, being on the right continent helps even more. In know plenty of guys from my BYW days who were genuinely amazingly talented. Some are still touring the UK indy's quite nicely but I assume this is mainly down to their passion for the business. Their is simply no money in the indy's! If you want to make it big you must make some serious sacrifice. Friends, family, occasions, sustenance! You'll likely go without these for some time as you tour the small promotions, then maybe Japan, around Europe , all over the place! If this scenario isn't something you are truly ok with. Don't look to go far. Im not trying to put anyone off, this is a genuinely amazing sport to partake in but I would say one thing. Go for fun to start off with. Make some good friends. If you find you have some serious potential, and your peers agree, then it may be worth going full throttle with your chances. Just don't expect to be the new poster boy for WWE.
