10 Things You Learn Training To Be A Pro Wrestler

9. It Hurts

I am truly stating the obvious but I don't think that most people understand how much this supposedly fake sport actually causes some serious injury and injury. From simple kicks to power bombs, everything has a certain degree of pain. Some things will only hurt a tiny bit; others will leave you unable to breathe. Your Back muscles will likely move out of place and joints will become shot. Some injuries you will notice immediately, others will only show there ugly faces after a few years.. After wrestling on ground for so long, the first time I bumped in a ring it felt like landing in a mattress. I have, however, seen some guys that had just joined the class bump on the timber for the first time and how they got up both winded and shocked. This initial shock does die down over time as you learn to breathe out as you land, spread your weight as evenly as possible and because your body starts to get used to it. But it will never truly accept it. I must also mention in this section the genuine danger that pro wrestling carries with itself. We all know examples of wrestlers who's careers and lifestyle's have been destroyed by stepping through the ropes. The likes of Droz and Hayabusa who were both paralysed are obvious examples taken from the top companies of both Japan and the USA respectively. More subtly you can clearly see the lasting effects of Mick Foley's career as he can barely walk nowadays. Stone Cold broke his neck which is serious enough but he also destroyed his knee's. So much so he has recently had them rebuilt. This sport tends to chew people up and spit them out. Do you think it's worth it? If you€™re thinking about going to a local wrestling school I would be prepared for the pain of using muscles you wouldn't normally use. Landing on your back / front dozens of times and getting kicked and punched harder than you would anticipate for a €œfake€ sport. All this resulting in an all over body pain for the following several days! A state of pain commonly known as "Body F***ed"!
