10 WCW Superstars Who Should Blame WWE For Their Crappy Gimmicks

These gimmicks weren't Vince McMahon ideas... but we sure do know who to blame.

The wrestling business is something we watch because we want to be entertained by storylines involving athletic men and women that are there to put on a show for us. We know that the results really don't matter a lot, but we still tune in because we like what we're seeing. The focus really is on the characters. We hope that we might see the next Stone Cold or The Rock, but that's hard to find. Instead, we get a lot of bad characters (take The Bunny for example in today's WWE) or many recycled gimmicks. When looking back at World Championship, the company that existed from the early 1990s until 2001, there were a lot of things they did right. There were even more things they did wrong, which is why they were bought out by WWE in 2001 and are now a distant memory. A big part of the reason WCW failed is because they didn't do a lot of things that were fresh and cool. The NWO worked, but they didn't know how to end it right. They were too busy stealing ideas from WWE a lot of the time. Not only did they steal booking ideas, but they also stole bad gimmicks. During the wrestling "war" between WWE and WCW, it was as if both companies assumed that fans watched the other show so if they brought over a character that meant that they could also bring over the character. These are some examples of some bad gimmicks that were brought over to WCW or WCW just gave them to somebody else. Keep in mind that even though all of these are crappy gimmicks, some of these guys should be thanking WWE for them because these crappy gimmicks allowed them to keep their jobs, so that's something positive they could take from it! Here's a look at 10 WCW performers that should blame WWE for having a terrible gimmick.
