10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (June 19)

Turns out Sheamus wasn't first choice to win Money In The Bank...

Money In The Bank has been and gone, and whilst it's immensely difficult to please every single member of the wrestling fan kingdom, it seems - by scouring online reports - that a lot of people enjoyed the show. There has been backlash against the finish, which was booked to protect Dean Ambrose and continue the story that Seth Rollins struggles to beat him in a one-on-one situation fairly, but it was a solid show. The big problem for WWE nowadays is that a lot of Pay-Per-View style events feel instantly forgettable, once the show is over with, there's often not much to really let sink in, because the promotion's pacing is so quick. As soon as one event is finished, people immediately start looking forward to what may happen at the next, which doesn't really help when trying to book landmark moments in feuds or postage-stamp big wins, such as Sheamus grabbing the Money In The Bank briefcase. With that in mind, situations away from the ring have been dominating the headlines more than what's going on inside it this week. The passing of the 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes is still being felt, and more outpourings of emotion are featured in this week's article, along with some criticism of the WWE booking squad and one wrestling star revealing a surprising favourite career moment.
