The rumoured Sting versus Triple H match should be happening sometime soon. The man who made his debut at the Survivor Series by foiling Triple H and The Authority will have his first WWE match in his near-thirty year career. It's one of those things that has been talked about for years but that nobody was sure would ever happen. Now it's a reality, people are starting to fantasy book the match. Odds are that the match will take place at either the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania pay-per-views. Sting's first WWE match is one of the biggest matches WWE has right now, after the departures of big stars like CM Punk and the possibility that movie stars The Rock and Batista won't be coming back for the road to WrestleMania, and they're not about to squander it on some B-level PPV or to pop a rating on Raw. Sting's first match will be a heavily promoted affair taking place on a major event. But what type of match will Sting compete in for his historic debut? A straight singles match, while it could be good, seems like a wasted opportunity. Fans want to see Sting and Triple H engage in something a little bit more epic than a regular old wrestling match. This might be the only time we get to see Sting wrestle in a WWE ring. Let's hope WWE dresses it up a little bit and gives them a good gimmick or stipulation to work with.
