10 WWE Stars Who Could Be Left Off WrestleMania 34
Out in the cold.
In little more than two months, the wrestling world will descend on New Orleans for WrestleMania 34, the undisputed biggest night of the WWE calendar.
For the men and women who make up Vince McMahon's workforce, it's also the worst possible time to suffer a loss of form or relevance. Getting the cold shoulder at Backlash or No Mercy is a pill that you can just about swallow, but being left off the Show of Shows is a massive blow.
For evidence of how badly some can take this snub, look no further than the example of CM Punk, who after walking out in 2014 cited the fact that he didn't headline WrestleMania XXVIII as one of his biggest grievances (and he wasn't even left off the card altogether - in fact, he had a date with The Undertaker).
Not everyone made to watch this year's event from the sidelines will react in the same way as the Straight Edge Superstar, but those who are should, at the very least, view it as a good way to take the temperature of their respective careers.
10. Seth Rollins
The Shield injury curse (which is a thing) has already robbed Seth Rollins of the opportunity to face Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania, and - if recent reports are to be believed - it is threatening to do the same for his chances of facing Jason Jordan.
Should Kurt Angle's son be forced to watch the Show of Shows from the treatment table, there are very few feasible alternatives left for the Architect, who has already feuded with the likes of Finn Bálor, Bray Wyatt and The Miz in the not-too-distant past.
With this match off the agenda, WWE may instead look to fill the gap on the WrestleMania card with an Intercontinental Title free-for-all - but this would mean getting the belt off The Miz, who is expected to face Braun Strowman, over the next two months.
All said, there's a very real possibility that Seth could see his involvement on 8 April confined to a turn in the pre-show Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal - which would be an incredible fall from grace for a man who walked out with the belt just three years ago.
