Finn Bálor looked almost certain to be left off the WrestleMania card about a month ago, when his planned run at the Universal Championship was abruptly nixed at the last minute amid (apparent) wider concerns around his ability to get over.

But reuniting with messrs Gallows and Anderson has given him a lifeline. The fans are back behind the idea of seeing the Demon King in the main event, and better still, this now seems to be echoed in the corridors of power, who saw fit to pair the Club up with D-Generation X at last month's 25th anniversary Raw special.

That said, a potential six-man tag team bout with The New Day not withstanding, 8 April may yet come around a little too soon for Finn to make the main show. His credibility, after all, is still only halfway out of the gutter after that defeat to Kane in October.

Like Dean Ambrose last year, the Irishman may find himself cast in the role of the pre-show's biggest attraction, which is a claim to fame on a par with being the most famous member of the Spirit Squad.
