8. Lita

Lita is clearly inspired by Courtney Love, if the the discography of her 'Luchagors' outfit is any indication.

There is an unintentionally hilarious Trey Parker quality to the impression; on 'Already Gone', a total dirge of a song, Lita mimics the Hole frontwoman's inflection as if she isn't aware she's taking the p*ss out of it. Hole's 'Live Through This' is both a classic rock record and an awful reminder of the misogyny endemic to the scene. 'Violet' is its highlight; an incendiary call-to-feminist-arms. 'Already Gone' is its crappy karaoke doppelgänger in which, like a botched moonsault, Lita lands perilously close to parody.

There's an Offspring ripoff somewhere in the riff, but you'll forgive me for not being specific. That would require research. Lita mutilates vowels over the top of it. She's meant to be singing, per the transcribed lyrics, "It's already gone to hell". This is what is actually sung: "It's owl-ready gown to hay-ul". The riff chugs along generically as Lita continues to run the gamut of Riot Grrl cliché. It's more accomplished stuff than the cynical cash-grabs elsewhere on this list, but that only adds a depressing layer to the whole thing.

She didn't know it was rubbish.
