The 'story': In May, Braun Strowman posted a gruesome image to his Instagram page seemingly confirming WWE's story that he had shattered his elbow at the hands of a rampaging Roman Reigns. According to the company, the damage dished out to the monster now amongst doctors and nurses would keep him out for up to six months, ending his feud with the Samoan and scuppering a proposed bout opposite Brock Lesnar.

The reality: Either the full moon encouraged Strowman's lycanthropic powers of regeneration, or WWE were telling porkies: big Braun was back fighting fit just two months later for the stupendously titled Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the promotion had exaggerated the severity of Braun's injury to generate amazement when he returned four months ahead of schedule.

At the show, hostilities with Reigns resumed. The 'Big Dog', not content with knackering Strowman's elbow, decided to go one better in attempting to murder the 'Monster'. Braun made a miraculous recovery from being crushed to death in an ambulance also. He's amazing.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
