10 WWE Superstars Who Walked Away At Their Peak

They couldn't stay in the game forever, could they?

Being an active member of the WWE roster isn't the easiest job in the world. Think of the travel, the time spent away from family, the injuries picked up along the way. The lucky ones who make it to the top of the game generally put in the most time and do the most miles. But people can't do it forever. And while some can't get enough and stay active for far longer than they should, there's a sensible few who have turned their back on the business in their prime - either because they've had to - or because there's something else in the pipeline. The latest case in point came at the start of April, where a certain WWE Diva announced her retirement from in-ring competition. But AJ Lee isn't the only one to explore other ventures whilst at the top. She may well be the youngest, but there's an elite few who have stepped away to leave stories untold and dream rivalries unfulfilled. Of course, they have to make the best decisions for themselves and that's what everybody wants, but that doesn't stop us yearning for what might have been. There's likely a few who have already sprung to mind, but starting with AJ herself, here's ten of the most famous WWE Superstars (and of course, Divas) to have walked away at their peak.
