One year ago, Mick Foley found himself cast in an almost identical role to the one that Kurt Angle is playing today - that being the downtrodden, constantly undermined general manager whose sole function seems to be getting shouted at by Stephanie McMahon.

In the case of Mick, however, it's probably a little bit worse. At least Kurt Angle - or so we assume - will get the opportunity in a month's time to exact some revenge on his bosses when he takes to the ring alongside Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.

As for Mrs Foley's Baby Boy, he got his marching orders after refusing to go along with the rules in March 2017. This sounds like an honourable way to go on paper, until you realise that he stayed in the position a full eight months before finally standing up for himself.

The lion's share of that time was spent getting berated for almost every decision he made. It was almost like he was the on-air personification of the WWE creative team, absorbing all of the bad will for decisions over which he ultimately had zero control.
