10 WWE Wrestlers Who Won Championships With Multiple Gimmicks

9. Val Venis - Chief Morley

So the word 'won' might not be entirely accurate in this instance, but The Big Valbowski is another man who held championship gold as different characters in WWE. Val Venis was a staple of the Attitude Era and one of the clearest examples of Vince McMahon taking the company in an edgier direction. Venis wasn't always involved in the best storylines but his presence on the show added a different form of hyper-sexualisation to the Attitude Era.

Venis was also more than proficient in the squared circle and he managed to win the Intercontinental Championship twice along with the European Championship. These secondary titles represented the ceiling for Venis but they should not be sniffed at, especially when he had to defeat the likes of The British Bulldog, Ken Shamrock, and Rikishi to get them.

Sean Morley is also a former World Tag Team Champion, although this achievement didn't come to him whilst playing the role of the wrestling porn star. Tag gold was 'won' as Chief Morley alongside Lance Storm, although Morley wasn't involved in the match that saw the titles change hands.

Morley was awarded the title when original champion William Regal was unable to partner Storm, and the title reign of Storm and Morley was short to say the least. After defeating Rob Van Dam and Kane on the WrestleMania XIX pre-show the duo dropped the titles to RVD & The Big Red Monster the next night on RAW, ending their tenure as champions at seven days.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
