Not sure if you were aware of this, but Bret Hart had these little monikers such as "the excellence of execution," as well as "the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be." You shouldn't blame yourself if you didn't know, since he was kind of low key about both, but needless to say, he had sort of a reputation as being a pretty good wrestler.

Heavy sarcastic understatements aside, at a time when WWE's average talent wasn't the 20th in-ring as they are now, Bret was still by today's standards an outstanding performer. Such ability showed when in the '90s, he produced two 5 star matches for the company which were of incredibly different styles. The first, in 1994 against brother Owen, was a steel cage match that featured no bloodshed. Then, in 1997, he and Steve Austin produced a vicious brawl that featured one of the best uses of blood ever when a crimson mask donned Austin's face.

Bret could have gotten a third five star match even earlier with his brother Owen at WrestleMania X, but alas, Uncle Dave only gave that match 4.75 stars. However, there was another performer on that show who earned the perfect mark...
