11 WWE Wrestlers With Multiple 5 Star Matches
9. Shawn Michaels
Now obviously, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels patched up their personal issues many years ago, and are now on good terms with each other. However, if Shawn did want to reignite any animosity between himself and the Hitman, a good place to start would be to remind Bret who it was that got the first ever 5 star match in WWE history.
At WrestleMania X, the same night Bret and Owen had a 4.75 star classic in the opener, HBK and Razor Ramon had their iconic ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. The first match of its kind seen by a worldwide audience, it was instrumental in the evolution of match styles that are seen in WWE to this day. Three years later, Michaels did it all over again when he and The Undertaker competed in the first ever Hell in a Cell match. This brutal, storyline-heavy match was seen as a masterclass of Shawn Michaels as a worker, and it's hard to disagree with that.
While many argue that the original ladder and HIAC matches have been surpassed, it will never be disputed who has to be thanked for elevating both of them.
