The Elimination Chamber has always been a solid draw for the WWE. The decision to retire the show in 2014 always seemed a little odd, with reports that it wouldn't be returning due to large production costs. Apparently the cost of transporting the chamber was deemed too excessive. But just a year and a bit later, the Elimination Chamber is back. It returns this weekend as a bonus show, in an effort by WWE to retain Network subscribers. The match is sold on its viciousness, with the idea that the metal floors and chain walls offer outrageous brutality. Chamber matches are also typical for someone being smashed through the 'glass' pods. Another aspect is wrestlers doing high flying moves off the chamber ceilings. On top of this entertainment is the drama side, with wrestlers entering the matches at specific intervals. All of these aspects combined have made for some thrilling contests over the years, the very first Chamber match in 2002 being a prime example.
