A new (old) face, more Harper teasing and a stinging story...

As long as AEW are positioned not only as the "Distinguished Competition" to Vince McMahon's company but also an alternative in terms of culture and approach (at least allegedly so), we'll continue to hear that Tony Khan's company are looking at signing major WWE stars. This week, with Bash At The Beach in full-swing and Jericho's boat about to set sail, the cross-hairs are fixed on Luke Harper, Matt Hardy and The Revival.

Those are all drums that are going to be beaten for a while yet (until they sign or go somewhere else prohibitively) and so too is the one striking out the rhythm of the NJPW links. For now, the Young Bucks say that's not actually happening despite rumours. Sadly.

On top of that, a second show was obviously announced, Cody Rhodes opened up about being careful with Orange Cassidy's push, Taz signed on to commentate over multiple years and Tony Khan is said to be taking more control backstage. Gulp.
