17 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is one of the greatest entertainers in WWE history. He's been a key performer in the company for the last 15 years ever since he burst on the stage on August 9, 1999 as the countdown of the Millennium reached zero.From that point on, he has proven that he has been a tremendous party host and the Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla as well. Those are just some of the names that he's referred to himself as. Don't forget about The King of the World, Lionheart, The Highlight of the Night or the Sexy Beast. There are even more names and plenty of catchphrases that you'll never, eeeeeever forget. It's been incredible to see Jericho's growth as a performer over the last 15 years. When he showed up in WWE after leaving WCW there was a lot of excitement about it, but we also didn't know what it was going to be like. Could they use him right? Would he ascend to the top? It turns out that the answers to those questions were yes although there was a lot of doubt especially in that first year. Once he got comfortable things really worked out for him and now at 43 years old he's established himself as one of the best pro wrestlers ever. In addition to his wrestling, he's also had a lot of success outside of the ring as the lead singer of the band Fozzy. He's also done a lot of acting, been on a major show like Dancing with the Stars and even hosted a number of game shows. Even though he does have other interests, he always seems to come back to wrestling. Since Jericho has made another return to WWE this past week, it's time to look back at some of the things that WWE wants us to forget about him. These are things that have happened while he's been a WWE guy, so anything that he did in WCW, ECW, Japan or anything else before August 1999 really doesn't apply to it. It's tough to do this with Jericho because he's done so many candid interviews over the years, written two amazing books (number three is on the way) and WWE produced a DVD about his career too. However, we're looking at things he did that WWE doesn't want to push on TV or that may not fit with WWE's current PG model.
