20 Best WWE Matches Of The Decade (So Far)

Shows just how good Bryan, Punk, 'Taker, Lesnar and, yes, Cena really are.

We all watch wrestling for different reasons. Some may watch it primarily for the characters. For others it's about spectacle. Whatever the reasons, we all agree that wrestling would be nothing without the, y'know, actual wrestling part. Vince McMahon may have rebranded it as 'sports entertainment' but, at the end of the day, it's guys in spandex pretending to fight each other in 20x20 ring. It's wrestling. And what would wrestling be without great matches? Fans are rewarded for putting up with sub-three and five minute, run-of-the-mill affairs with the odd classic here and there. The standard of professional wrestling, from a technical standpoint if nothing else, has been incredibly high over the last five years. This isn't the Attitude Era, where top guys would brawl in the crowd for twenty minutes in lieu of actually putting a match together. Guys these days go to work. The audience demands it. At the end of every calendar year people compile their 'best of' lists, highlighting the group of matches that they feel deserve the most praise for being exceptional. Since we're halfway through the 2010s, let's look back at those rip-roaring outings that WWE have treated us with over the past five years. It's not like the pickings are slim: WWE have excelled in the ring recently (even if other areas of the product need serious help).
