The January 27 episode of Raw featured Trish Stratus and Victoria renewing their rivalry in a Street Fight that would not only rank as one of their best matches ever, but also present the opportunity to one-up the Survivor Series match that they, themselves, were disappointed with.

More intense, hard-hitting and with more impactful offense from the women, the championship brawl blew away the battle from the previous November. Stratus weathered an early-match sneak attack, rebounding with trash can lids in hand, using them as symbols to punish her opponent.

Interference from the pesky Steven Richards led to some fun spots, including Trish unloading on him with a series of nasty kendo stick shots, not to mention a strong near fall off of a superkick from Victoria.

The finish saw Richards again stick his nose in the match, setting up his main squeeze sending Stratus crashing into the arena floor from the ring apron. After enduring the nasty spill, Stratus had no chance of kicking out of the pinfall, ending her quest for the women's title that had eluded her since their last hardcore-style match.

A sprint of a match with innovative spots that were never "too cute" for the tone of the match, Trish and Victoria cut a furious pace in what felt like a legitimate fight rather than a choreographed one with spots that took forever to set up, as was the case with their Survivor Series bout.
