23 Things We Learned From Edge & Christian On Stone Cold's WWE Network Podcast

5. Thoughts On Michael Hayes

Stone Cold once again acts as an advocate to get Michael Hayes into the Hall of Fame, then mentions how instrumental he was in Edge and Christian's career. He asks what he saw in them as performers and wrestlers. Edge says he thinks he saw a little Freebirds in them, with the rock and roll aspect and bring trendsetters. This leads into talk about The Freebirds and how incredibly over the way. Austin said Hayes had a ton of heat - to which Christian remarks that he still does - and that his entrance alone was worth the price of admission. Edge says the most important advice he ever received was from Michael Hayes, which was that a heel has to believe everything that he's saying. He told them to fully commit and calls him "hugely instrumental" in helping them understand the business.
