4 Ups & 1 Down From Ultima Lucha - Night 3

A great way to end another brilliant season.

Rey Mysterio Prince Puma

It’s all come down to this. Lucha Underground’s final episode of season two. Ultima Lucha night three gave us a two hour episode tying up a few storylines, but opening up even more as we take a break for season three.

We saw the legend Rey Mysterio battling the incredible Prince Puma in the main event, the Monster Matanza take on Pentagon Dark in an entertaining rematch and Vampiro nearly having his skin ripped off his face. It was violent, it was crazy and it was pretty awesome.

There were a few down moments, but overall the company delivered once again for their biggest show of the year. They didn't quite top the original Ultima Lucha, but it's not like we're comparing WrestleMania XVII to WrestleMania IX here.

This season was shorter than the last, but they still succeeded in delivering a consistently entertaining product, though at times, one that felt a bit rushed. But with the way things ended, the wait for season three is going to feel that much longer.

Let’s take a look at the 4 Ups and 1 Down for Ultima Lucha night three.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
