5 Reasons Daniel Bryan Should Face Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 31

Will it be Roman Reigns or Daniel Bryan wrestling Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania?

WWE had big plans for rookie star Roman Reigns. His ascension to the next big thing had been rumoured to occur at Wrestlemania 31, where he was set to be the one to defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. That was before his injury last month. Does this sound familiar? It should because it is the same thing that happened to Daniel Bryan after he won the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 30. Now both men look like they are returning for the Royal Rumble, but who becomes the one to face Brock Lesnar? There is no reason to believe that any plans of WWE have changed. Reigns' injury isn't as severe as Bryan's and Bryan's injury may drastically change his ring style, Reigns' won't. Lesnar is the key guy in this scenario. Lesnar ended The Streak, has dominated WWE in the past year and won the WWE title. The culmination of him putting over a young Roman Reigns to create the next big superstar in WWE is a great idea. It is great for the future, WWE and especially for Roman Reigns. The problem is where does this leave Daniel Bryan? Reigns is on the fast track. Bryan had carried the company, been the most over performer in the company and was obviously prepared to continue to do so until his injury. It isn't like his title run was bad. The guy got hurt after fifteen years of wrestling on his body with his intense style. After a year of recovery, he has to return to watch his spot diminish for a different next big superstar? Not only does that not seem right, but it doesn't seem logical. What if WWE had done that with Stone Cold, Triple H, or others when they returned from injury? It just doesn't make sense from Bryan's perspective, or from a long term booking perspective. Here are five big reasons why it should be Daniel Bryan who faces Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 31 instead of Roman Reigns.
