5 Reasons Daniel Bryan Should Face Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 31
5. Bryan Never Got His Run As Champion
The ascension of Daniel Bryan began at some point during his Tag Title run with Kane in Team Hell No. He was over before that, but that was where he started picking up significant steam. "Yes" became the chant of this generation. Bryan skyrocketed because of that, but his energetic ring style and his technical abilities to tell stories in the ring that are what made him the best. Fans fought as hard as they could for almost an entire year to make Daniel Bryan a superstar. No one else could be WWE World Heavyweight Champion in their eyes. This is why the Batista comeback went the way it did. When it was time for Wrestlemania 30, the booking decisions had to make fan appeal and give them what they wanted. After all, it's Wrestlemania, right? Daniel Bryan finally fulfils the dreams of not only his childhood, but of every fan who has ever chanted "Yes", but then a month later, he is injured and the run is over? Where does that leave the fans? Yes, time has passed. The times have changed. Some also believe that wrestling fans have one track minds and short term memories. Bryan's run ended abruptly, and people actually believe that they will just forget about him? Wrestling fans have shown time and time again that they don't forget their favourites. They especially won't forget someone that they personally pushed to super-stardom before an injury left them unsatisfied. Daniel Bryan won the main event of Wrestlemania 30 for the championship for god's sake. People aren't going to forget that and follow another guy into the fire pit because they have short attention spans. Daniel Bryan will be back, and he will come back as hot as he was beforehand. There is no reason to believe otherwise. The fans wanted Daniel Bryan as champion before and they made it happen. They'll do it again.
