5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (March 10)

Who ever thought AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens would headline Smackdown?

WWE had the added advantage of being able to offer up a completely fresh match on this week's edition of Thursday Night Smackdown. AJ Styles has been a great addition to the main roster since arriving back in January at the Royal Rumble, whereas Kevin Owens has pretty much been consistently entertaining since making his debut last year. Putting them together seemed like a great idea, but was the actual content of the match up to scratch? Styles is being prepared for yet another bout opposite Chris Jericho come WrestleMania 32, whilst Owens looks likely to defend the WWE Intercontinental Title against Sami Zayn. Both matches have an exciting feel to them, despite being aired numerous times in the past on shows like Raw, Smackdown and NXT. Elsewhere on this week's Smackdown, there was the promise of seeing Roman Reigns back on the blue brand to discuss his upcoming WWE World Heavyweight Title effort with Triple H at 'Mania. Other matches on the show included Dolph Ziggler facing The Miz, Bubba Ray Dudley squaring off against Goldust and Kofi Kingston of The New Day facing 'King' Barrett of the League Of Nations. There was a lot to take in this week, but what were the main 'ups' and distinct 'downs' that Smackdown provided this time around?
