5 WWE ECW Superstars You Most Likely Forgot All About

1. Marcus Cor Von

I saved the best for last. Of all the names on this list, Marcus Cor Von is the only one who I want to see back in the WWE. He deserves another run. As "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown, he was one of the biggest up-and-coming stars in the early days of TNA. Like Ricky Ortiz, he came from a football background. However, Brown had 'it'. He was naturally charismatic and had a damn intimidating look. Brown had an intensity about him in the way he carried himself. All that, along with his devastating 'Pounce' finishing move, gave good reason for wrestling fans to expect big things when the WWE came calling in 2006. Going by Marquis Cor Von, later changed to Marcus Cor Von, he debuted in early 2007 for the ECW brand. This was before the new superstars initiative, when the ECW brand was just getting started and a decent number of ECW Originals were still with the company. He was quickly aligned with the New Breed stable, a group consisting of newer stars who were out to take down the ECW Originals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDDeqYU5ikA Looking back at WWECW, the New Breed vs. ECW Originals feud easily comes away as the highlight. You had 8 fantastic talents going at it every Tuesday night, all leading to an 8 man tag at WrestleMania that year. While most remember the feud for the moment the ECW Originals having their "WrestleMania" spotlight, I remember the feud for the 8 man tag hardcore rematch that happened the first ECW show after the WrestleMania PPV. The feud culminated that night with Marcus Cor Von winning for the New Breed by hitting one of the sickest looking Pounce's on ECW Original Sabu thru a table. Cor Von disappeared from ECW shortly after to take care of "personal family issues." He never returned to WWE TV again.
