5 WWE ECW Superstars You Most Likely Forgot All About

2. Ricky Ortiz

Take a former XFL football player and sign him to a WWE developmental deal. Bill him as one of the most charismatic people you have training on the developmental farm. Call him up after 2 years honing his skill and put him on ECW as part of the new superstars initiative billed as Atlas Ortiz. For some reason, change his name to Ricky Ortiz with the lame explanation of his "friends call him Ricky." Give him a terribly executed Ultimate Warrior-esque splash as a finisher. Realize the fans are not rallying behind him even after a 5-0 winning streak so you give him a, um, "rally towel" and the nickname of "The Latin Assassin." Fans still don't care, so for some reason you draft him to Smackdown where he hangs around for a few months before being released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPuPf15DfnM Interesting enough, Ricky Ortiz is the only superstar on this list to have made it from ECW to one of WWE's bigger flagship shows. He's also the only person on this list who didn't come off the top of my head. Damn was this guy and his afro annoying.
