One of the most enduring and greatest parts of attending a live event is the crowd interaction. When a show gets really good or really bad, the fans attending love to show either their approval or their frustration, and chanting is one of the easiest and most fun ways to realise that interaction. In most American sporting events, chanting usually boils down to either yelling out "Let's go" followed by the name of the team, "Defense," or some other local taunt that gets brought up a few times in a season.
