6 Reasons The Rock Vs Rusev Must Happen At WrestleMania 31

Rock confronted Rusev at Raw... and it was awesome!

Last night's RAW saw the shock return of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, electrifying those in attendance in Brooklyn and surprising millions (and millions!) of his fans across the globe. Accepting Rusev's open challenge to the locker room, Rocky cut a typically mocking promo and knocked the Super-Athlete clean out of the ring. Rusev has been on a tear since his slight gimmick change back in May. After announcing his relocation from Bulgaria to Russia and dropping his first name, he's made relatively short work of Big E. Langston, Jack Swagger and Mark Henry in a trio of one-sided feuds. With current rival Big Show out of the picture last night, his reign of dominance looked set to continue until the Brahma Bull strode to the ring. With the Hell In A Cell PPV rapidly approaching and a very empty card to fell, it might be very tempting for the WWE to guarantee a few quick buys with an immediate clash between the two. They would be far wiser, however, to book a slower build for the two, culminating in a climactic match at WrestleMania 31. With half a year left until the biggest event in wrestling, The Rock and Rusev have plenty of time to build a slower feud - all while more easily working around Johnson's notoriously limited availability. Practical reasons aside, a bout at 'Mania would be a fantastic decision from a creative point of view as well. Here are six reasons why the WWE would be wise to wait.
