7 Awesome WWE Heels That The Fans Turned Face

A look at some big names when the ovations got so loud they had to turn them babyface.

If you ask a wrestler whether they like being a heel or face more, most of the time they're going to say heel. When you're a heel you can take more creative liberties, deliver more entertaining promos and basically get away with anything you want. Babyfaces are often times boring. They typically have to smile, suck up the fans and make sure they represent the company in a positive way. The business needs babyfaces, but for the performers it's definitely more fun for them to be a heel. Over the course of wrestling history, nearly every performer has been a face and a heel at various points in his or her career. Even the ones like Ricky Steamboat or Sting that were babyfaces for the majority of their careers have dabbled as heels too. It's just the nature of the business. If you're locked in one position for too long you're going to become stale and once that happens, your career is in jeopardy. This is a look at heels that were turned babyface mainly because of their crowd reaction. The opposite of this would be when The Rock was booed a lot as a babyface in 1996/97, which caused him to turn heel. That's another listing for another time. There are definitely more than seven heels that went face because of the fans, but we're here to look at some of the more major ones. Those that are featured include six men that have gone on to become WWE World Champions and one of the most popular divas ever. Here's a look at seven big name WWE performers that got over really well as heels and then became babyface because the crowd dictated it to happen that way.
