7 Awesome WWE Heels That The Fans Turned Face

7. Dolph Ziggler In 2013

The idea behind the Ziggler character is similar to a lot of cocky young heels in wrestling. He's a guy with the right kind of look and attitude that thinks he's better than everybody else. Since he's such an awesome athlete, sometimes the viewers tend to believe him. He pulled off the gimmick very well. That was his role for about five years until a turn following WrestleMania 29. When Ziggler cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Alberto Del Rio to become the World Heavyweight Champion in April 2013 he received one of the loudest ovations of the year. Soon after that, Ziggler became a babyface. It wasn't an immediate turn because he suffered a concussion. When he lost the World Title back to Del Rio in a rematch, the face turn of Ziggler was a permanent thing. He's been in that role ever since. http://youtu.be/MKqtFqpRLEk Ziggler is one of those guys that seems more natural in the heel role, but he's done a good job as a face too. Maybe if he didn't get the kind of fan reaction that he did then he'd still be a heel right now. You never know.
