7 Booking Directions For NXT After TakeOver: Brooklyn III

Adam Cole is here, bay-bay.

Adam Cole is finally in NXT, which can only mean one thing: the revelation that he's somehow related to Michael Cole.

The smart money is on a father-son relationship, but you can't entirely rule out the possibility that they're brothers either. Maybe Michael is his uncle? We're on tenterhooks.

In all seriousness, Cole's debut - together with his (presumed) alliance with Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly - has brought the NXT horizon into focus heading into the final third of the year.

But some parts remain a little blurry. WWE heads could partially disassemble the NXT roster at any time in order to bring more star power to its struggling main shows, and you never really know when it will happen.

On top of that, long-term feuds appear to have breathed their last breath in Brooklyn, with many champions now without a challenger.

It's a little under three months until NXT takes over Houston for Survivor Series weekend, which is plenty of time for Cole to get his feet under the table, new rivals to acquaint themselves and, perhaps, one or two to take their leave.

Anything is possible, except hopefully the Michael Cole thing.

7. Tag Team Division

The debut of reDRagon last month has given NXT the opportunity to flesh out its somewhat thin-on-the-ground tag team division, which has suffered in recent months from main roster call-ups and the split of #DIY (and subsequent injury to Tommaso Ciampa).

With the Authors of Pain losing their titles in Brooklyn, they too could be set for a transfer to Raw or, more likely, SmackDown (more likely because some believe they could be responsible for Fandango's disappearance, for whatever that's worth).

Should this happen, the smart money is on a prolonged back-and-forth between Sanity and reDRagon, whose matches together - without wishing to overstate things - have the potential to be up there with the very best in NXT history.

What's great about this prospect is that neither team is yet on the main roster radar, so there's really no telling which way the chips will fall in the months ahead.
