7 Feuds For Batista's WWE Return As A Babyface

There are some obvious ones, but also some new rivals that make a lot of sense too.

It's been a great week for WWE Superstar Batista, who is one of the main characters in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy film that made an estimated $94 million in the US & Canada this weekend and $160 million worldwide. There was major article on him on USAToday.com that Batista tweeted out with a "just wow" because he was amazed at all the attention he was receiving. What was noticeable about that article was that it said he was an "ex-pro wrestler" in the title. That's not true. He just quit in the storyline on the June 2, 2014 edition of Raw. It was a scheduled break to allow him to go film Guardians of the Galaxy. Here's what we know about Batista: He signed a two year deal with WWE earlier in 2014 that will likely keep him in WWE until WrestleMania 32 in 2016. Plans can change, though. Since they have announced that there will be a second Guardians of the Galaxy film released in 2017, he could be off for several months possibly in 2015 to film that. In addition to that, there could be other film roles that come up for him now that he's got his break. It would be foolish of him to say no to any major movie roles that he is offered because he needs to capitalize on things now while his name is hot in Hollywood and at age 45 it's not like he's going to wrestle forever. He might return right after SummerSlam so that WWE can load up Night of Champions as a way to entice people to re-subscribe to WWE Network. It's not confirmed, but it makes sense. It also wouldn't be a surprise if his deal is shortened and that he looks at next year's WrestleMania as his retirement match. The assumption is that when he returns he'll be a face. It was a role that he failed in back in January, but it's a different time now and if WWE matched him up with some stronger heels it would definitely help him get cheered. They can also capitalize on his success in Guardians as a way to book him as a bigger star. There are a number of heels that Batista could feud with that would be fresh opponents and also some old rivals that make a lot of sense too. Here's a look at them.
