7 Reasons ROH Deserves A TV Deal Far More Than TNA

Move aside TNA, it's time for ROH to show the world what they can do.

The wrestling world has been rocked with incredibly exciting news; ROH are set to debut on Destination America, bringing their product to a national audience. Many will view this as just desserts for a company which has reigned as the king of the American indie scene for many years now, unwittingly providing the WWE with some of their most popular workers of the modern era, yet always managing to bring new stars through as the old ones leave for the big leagues. The other side of this story is that the network looks increasingly likely to cut TNA from its schedule, something which may at first seem like a "one step forward, one step back" decision. What's the point of trading one wrestling promotion for another? What sort of impact can this realistically have upon the landscape of the business? Quite a big one, actually. For various reasons, Ring of Honor is a far more promising prospect for Destination America. TNA's many, many mistakes have been well-documented over the years, errors exacerbated by a generally unprofessional attitude in many instances (who could forget Dixie Carter slamming her target audience as 40 year old virgin-esque loners?). ROH, on the other hand, are largely beloved by those familiar with them, and seem far more deserving of an opportunity such as this. Here are the seven biggest reasons Destination America should cut TNA and leave the spotlight to ROH.
