7 Things You Should Know About WWE Royal Rumble 2007

The 30th entrant finally won a Royal Rumble match.

The 2007 Royal Rumble PPV marked the 20th time that WWE held the annual January event. There was a nice sense of nostalgia about the show because of that reason. There was a notable injury going into the show. Triple H was one of the biggest names in WWE and was rumored to win the Rumble in order to face John Cena at WrestleMania for the second year in a row. That didn't happen because he suffered a torn quad for the second time in his career and he was out of action for the first half of 2007. It was an interesting Rumble match because the previous few Rumble matches were about putting over some younger guys that hadn't really been main eventers before. This time around it was about two guys in their early 40s that were already legends that decided they were going to steal the show. The 20th Royal Rumble event took place in San Antonio, Texas on January 28, 2007. Here are the results from the show. 1. The Hardys (Jeff & Matt) d. MNM (Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro) 2. ECW Title: Lashley d. Test by countout to retain the title 3. World Title: Batista d. Mr. Kennedy to retain the title 4. WWE Title Last Man Standing: John Cena d. Umaga to retain the title 5. The Undertaker won the Royal Rumble Here are seven things you should know about the 2007 Royal Rumble.
