7 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Mar 22)

Downs...

3. Disrespecting Moose

The opening contest to this week’s episode of Impact saw Moose against Trey Miguel of The Rascalz, a match built solely on Miguel (and the other two Rascalz) poking fun at Moose being turned down by backstage interviewer Melissa Santos. If there was a match that added absolutely nothing to this episode, it was certainly this.

In terms of the action, it wasn’t that bad of a contest. It was split right down the middle as both men got their fair share of offence in, with Trey using his athletic ability to escape the wrath of Moose, while the latter utilised his power to demolish his way through the smaller opponent. The former Impact Grand Champion ended his merciless onslaught of Miguel with a huge spear.

Whatever happened to Moose being aligned with Killer Kross? Now that Johnny Impact’s turned to the dark side, it appears as if Moose has just been ousted from that story. That’s an alright statement – there’s no point in having a storyline overrun with people. However, if it now means he’s been relegated to these sort of roles, then why? He deserves to be higher up the card, so here’s hoping he gets boosted back up sooner rather than later.
