7 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 6)
1. Lets Go Cena/AJ Styles
Oh, John Cena is bringing his A-game to this feud. No poopy jokes. No Photoshopped pictures. No nonsense.
Cena and AJ Styles cut into each other in a great back-and-forth promo where Cena put over the fact that fans broke from the usual Lets go Cena/Cena sucks dueling chants to chant for both he and Styles for two minutes straight last week. Cena called out Styles and asked why he involved his Pull-it Club buddies (listen to it and watch Cenas mouth, he did not say bullet). Styles said Cena is an insult to him whenever he wrestles, adding that Cena cant beat him.
At that point, Cena went for the jugular, noting that Styles waited 15 years to get to WWE, entered the Royal Rumble and did nothing. Then he got a world title shot and lost. And then he lost again. Cena called Styles a bust who was desperately trying to make a name for himself by going after him. Brutal.
Styles hit back by going insider and saying that everyone knows that once you wrestle Cena and lose, get out the shovels, guys like you bury guys like me. He called Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson his insurance policy that he doesnt get buried.
Top to bottom, that was a phenomenal segment (pun intended). If they can keep up this serious intensity, they could have something really special.
