7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 23)

Were the writers drunk on Tennessee whiskey?

Coming off a Survivor Series that was widely panned for poor booking decisions and a €œstay the course€ mentality with keeping Roman Reigns as the future face of the company, WWE needed to deliver a strong Raw that set the table for the next PPV, Tables, Ladder & Chairs, in three weeks. They needed to give fans a reason to hang with the product. Instead, the writers threw some of the most nonsensical stuff they could manage at the wall Monday night, hoping something stuck. They tossed the Dudley Boyz out in a meaningless match to get slaughtered rather than building to something worthwhile. They tried to advance the failing MexAmerica storyline €“ and made Jack Swagger the face of the resistance. They jobbed a rookie 24 hours after giving him his first PPV victory. They gave the fans Sasha€ and then gave her four minutes to win with a rollup. And they reunited a trio of heels, only for Reigns to demolish them with a steel chair and stand tall. You name it, WWE managed to botch it Monday night. They still managed to string together a couple fun moments, but this was a painful three hours to get through. So what Brogue Kicked the competition and what got turned away at the MexAmerican border? Let€™s get to it€

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
